Eton, UK – 13th August 2010 – InterSystems today announced that it has appointed Andrew Love to the newly created position of Product Manager, TrakCare Lab, with global responsibility for the product roadmap of InterSystems’ pathology laboratory software.
InterSystems TrakCare Lab™ meets all the operational needs of modern pathology services and can support multiple sites with a single regional or national database.
Love recently relocated from Dubai to take up his new position in Sydney. His key goal is to build InterSystems’ leadership in pathology laboratory software through product innovation and customer service.
“There is a global trend toward regional and national laboratory systems and a growing importance to integrate pathology services into a connected healthcare environment to improve clinical governance and increase capacity and flexibility,” said Love.
“TrakCare Lab – with its unified architecture, robust database and built-in integration capabilities – is well-positioned to meet these market requirements as our recent $20 million plus contract for the whole of Wales demonstrates.”
Love reports to Christine Chapman, Chief Operating Officer for TrakCare.
“We’re pleased to have a product manager who brings additional focus and a wealth of experience to TrakCare Lab, which is an important part of our unified healthcare information system,” said Chapman. “Andy has a deep understanding of the needs of our customers with experience both as a laboratory manager and having worked with TrakCare Lab around the world.”
Love has over 25 years experience in laboratory management and laboratory software. He spent 15 years as a lab technician/ laboratory manager – most recently at Mansfields Pathology in Sydney – before joining TrakHealth in 1998. Love worked on TrakCare Lab projects in Australia, Spain and the U.K. prior to TrakHealth’s acquisition by InterSystems. His most recent position with InterSystems was as Lab Divisions Manager, based in Dubai.
